cartab
Last updated: August 27, 2026
These terms cover your use of cartab, an iPhone app for tracking vehicle maintenance, repairs and build projects. By using the app you agree to them.
cartab is free to use. The free version holds one vehicle, with unlimited service records, projects, reminders and photos on that vehicle.
Unlock Unlimited is a one-time purchase of $2.99 that adds:
It is not a subscription. You are charged once. There is nothing to cancel, nothing renews, and no further charge is ever made for it.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com.
The price may change for new buyers in the future. If you have already bought the unlock, you keep it — you will never be asked to pay again for what you already own.
You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple Account secure, since that is how you sign in.
The records you enter belong to you. You can export everything you have logged as a CSV file at any time from the Profile screen, and you can delete any vehicle or your entire account from within the app.
Please do not use the app to store anything unlawful, or to upload photos you do not have the right to use.
The app syncs your records so they survive a lost or replaced phone, and that works reliably in normal use. Even so, no service is perfect, and you should not treat cartab as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. If a record matters — a warranty claim, proof of service for a sale — keep your own copy too. The CSV export exists for exactly this.
Reminders are a convenience based on the intervals you set and on estimated mileage. They are not mechanical advice.
Your vehicle's manufacturer service schedule takes precedence over anything this app tells you, and so does the judgement of a qualified mechanic. Nothing in cartab should be relied on for decisions affecting safety.
cartab is provided without warranties of any kind. It is a tool for keeping records; it does not inspect, diagnose or certify anything about your vehicle.
To the extent the law allows, liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it. Some places do not allow limits like this, in which case your local law applies instead.
You may stop using cartab at any time, and can delete your account from the Profile screen. Accounts that are used to break these terms — for instance by attempting to attack the service or interfere with other people's data — may be suspended.
These terms may be updated. When they are, the date at the top of this page changes, and continuing to use the app means the updated terms apply.
